‘A home far from home‘ began in China-town in Amsterdam in the 20th century, because a lot of Chinese people settled there. Around the ‘Nieuwmarkt‘ area their culture, full of traditions and rituals continues. Dancing lions and salad? New shoes at New Years? There is a lot to tell and see in the interesting streets with the Chinese shops and restaurants where you might get seduced by the smells of Dim Sum or the oysters of Nam Kee: a taste of China!
Start and finish points Most tours start near the Central Station or the Dam, because these points are easily accessible and close to many great attractions. Would you like us to organise the rest of your program? We will ensure that all the different parts of the program come together nicely. For example your guides can pick you up from the workshop and drop you off at the restaurant after the tour. Handy, don‘t you think?
