Everyone understands the language of music and above all it makes people happy! So drum along during this accessible and energetic workshop, and listen to the coolest ’beats’. The djembe was always used by African tribes during important ceremonies such as weddings and war announcements, today however with guidance from our ‘tribe chief’ you are going to drum along to your own ‘corporate beat‘. So you won‘t leave the trip quietly!
The djembe is ideal for beginners because you don‘t need to use anything other than your palms. Don’t worry if you have no rhythm , because you can do it at your own level, and together with your colleagues it will sound great!
The experienced and enthusiastic ‘Faro‘ who will guide you, has played as a guest drummer with Hennie Vrienten (Doe Maar) and at the North Sea Jazz festival, he has taught at the Academy of music in Rotterdam and also some secondary school students.
Are you with a large group?No problem! We can provide a large, suitable location and sufficient djembe’s. Perhaps a another nice idea would be for us to provide a large number of drums and some additional instruments: conga‘s, bongo’s and a small arsenal of percussion such as maracas, tambourines, and cow bells. With some practice, it will be spectacular!
LocationThe workshop is given at various locations in and around the centre of the city.
One of the locations is selected for your group, depending on availability. In addition you will receive clear directions, so you will not get lost on the day itself!
